Kano and Abuja, in either direction
A numbered seat in a shared car between Kano and Abuja
RidePoynt is a new ePoynt service for shared car trips between Kano and Abuja, in cars that their owners drive. ePoynt vets each owner first.
ePoynt checks owners, drivers and cars. What the check does not cover
What ePoynt checks, and what it does not
What ePoynt checks
- Before ePoynt lists a car, ePoynt staff look at the owner’s papers and the car’s papers, and inspect the car.
- Each driver meets ePoynt staff with their driving licence and ID card. Staff take the photo on the driver card.
- ePoynt checks each car again at least every 3 months.
What the check does not cover
- ePoynt does not confirm a paper with the office that issued it.
- ePoynt owns no cars and employs no drivers. ePoynt books the seats for the owners, and each owner carries the travellers.

For car owners
Leave on time, with your seats sold ahead, instead of waiting at the park.
A full car earns you
₦30,000 × 4 seats × 80%
Before fuel and the driver’s pay.
If you own a saloon or a hatchback with 4 passenger seats, working air conditioning and a boot that takes 4 medium bags, and you drive between Kano and Abuja, you can apply.
4 seats. You get 80%.
Front
Back
₦24,000 for each seat sold: 80% of ₦30,000.
How you are paid
- Paystack splits each payment. 80% goes to your bank account.
- 20% is the ePoynt booking fee. It is inside the ₦30,000. It is not added on top.
- Luggage fees and late fees: 80% is yours too.
- ePoynt pays the Paystack fees.
When the money reaches your bank
The next working day
Paystack pays your 80% into your bank on the next working day after each payment. A payment made on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday reaches you on Monday, unless Monday is a public holiday.
How joining works
- 1Apply in the RidePoynt app. ePoynt staff take your application.

The rules, in short
- Your car leaves the city at 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. Pickups start at 6:00 a.m.
- At most 4 pickups and 4 drop-offs on a trip, one for each traveller.
- Cancel a trip after a seat is sold: 1 strike.
- 3 strikes in 90 days: you are suspended from posting trips.
- These stop a car from running trips: an expired paper, a failed or late car check, and a breakdown or an accident.
- ePoynt checks the car before you start. Then at least every 3 months.
- You carry the travellers. ePoynt books the seats for you.
ePoynt staff take your application in the RidePoynt app and book your car check.
